Bike Wall Sculpture

This piece was commissioned by an interior designer for her client as an alternative to bike frames on the wall. I wanted to give them a more materials based approach while playing with deconstructed bike geometry and honoring the client’s bike racing history.

We worked through several iterations narrowing the final comps to the two at the beginning of this post. The client chose the paired down design option and I installed the piece a couple of weeks ago. Still have a few finishing touches and sinking the acrylic encased neon light cord into the wall.

The client and the designer are very happy with the end result. Final photos coming soon.
