The making of Pablo’s
A broken vinyl record, a coffee cup (lifted from the coffee shop!), straws, transparency film, tape, plaster, paint, objects I made, found objects and an open book about Marcel Duchamp’s art work.
Pablo’s began a bit as an exercise to capture the atmosphere of my favorite coffee place in Denver, CO: Overlapping and colliding sounds, smells, conversations, etc.
It had been a while since I last set up an installation and incorporating elements of a brand (chimp and name) into a picture was a bit of a departure from my previous installations. But it was all in good fun!
